We host the application; you host the data. When you open a dashboard we read from your database in real time -- we never copy, keep or sell it, and the only thing we store centrally is an encrypted pointer to where your data lives.

Every partner, invoice and order lives in your own PostgreSQL -- not a database WorklikeGenie owns.
Your storage
Uploaded files go straight to your own S3-compatible bucket.
Separate per company
One company's data can never appear in another's -- enforced at every query, not just the UI.
Encrypted connection credentials
Your database and storage credentials are stored encrypted, never in plain text.
Decrypted only per request
Credentials are decrypted in memory for the length of a single request and never cached beyond it.
Transport security
The site enforces HTTPS (HSTS), blocks being framed by another site, and sets standard content-security headers on every response.
What BYOC means in practice
Most software asks you to trust it with a copy of your data. WorklikeGenie is built the other way round: you provision your own PostgreSQL database and your own file storage bucket, and give WorklikeGenie the connection details once, during setup. From then on, every dashboard reads your live data directly from your own infrastructure -- there is no second, WorklikeGenie-controlled copy to worry about losing control of, and nothing to migrate back out if you ever stop using the product, because it was never anywhere else to begin with.
We're honest about what this means and what it doesn't: WorklikeGenie does not currently hold third-party security certifications (such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001). If that is a requirement for your organization, talk to us directly so we can discuss what's in place today and our roadmap.
