How WorklikeGenie works
From connecting your own database to your whole channel being live -- here is exactly what setup looks like.
1. Connect your own database and storage
Under WorklikeGenie's bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) model, you point the portal at your own PostgreSQL database and your own file storage bucket during setup. Connection details are stored encrypted, and we decrypt them in memory only for the length of a single request -- never cached, never copied elsewhere.
2. Bring in your billing and master data
Import SAP invoices by Excel export or connect through a secure API key so your IT team can send them automatically. No SAP or API access yet? Upload Excel/CSV and map the columns yourself. Tally and Busy users get step-by-step import/export guidance built into the product.
3. Add your distributors and retailers
Onboard distributors and retailers through an approval queue scoped by territory. Each gets their own login -- the company sees the full channel, distributors see their own retailers and dues, retailers see their own orders and bills.
4. Let the Genies work from your real numbers
Once data is flowing, billing reconciliation, coverage visibility, Ask Genie and Genie Suggested Order all start working from your actual billing, stock and hierarchy data -- not a demo dataset.
How long does it take?
You can be up and running in about 2 days. Assigning controls and login IDs for your full team typically takes another 5 days on top of that.
